A great example of Adams' work, very modern looking based on a traditional tried a tested shape with original makers label.
This is a fabulous desk, hand made in the 1930s, by designer/manufacturer Maurice Adams it has a black leather top with Makore and Maple veneers. His work is on display in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Maurice Adams Ltd was a designer/manufacturer, based at 6 Granville Place, Portman Square, London W1, right in the middle of Mayfair the ideal location to sell expensive furniture to the rich and famous of the Art Deco period.
