This is an original collectable ‘TOKEN’ Hand-made piece of furniture designed by Betty Joel and made by J Marsden at ‘TOKEN’ Works Portsmouth in 1931. It is very rare indeed to find items with maker and designers name, location and date when they were made. All Betty Joel furniture was made using top quality hard wood and quite exotic veneers. Each piece being crafted by a individual time served cabinet maker from the Art deco period. These items with identification labels are collectors items and are very desirable and hard to discover.
